COLLECTIONS
Our Abacus branded vans and lorries vary in size to accommodate collections whether big or small. We can arrange a collection date and time that best suits you. Our team are friendly and approachable and will be happy to assist you with any questions you may have.
RETRIEVALS
Abacus Archives uses the latest Gelena AIDC tracking system for the documentation of all archive storage. Each box is assigned a bar code that is easily traceable. If necessary we can barcode individual files to aid specific retrieval requests. Our team are on hand to retrieve any file or box within a 24 hour period. Urgent retrievals can be arranged on request - please speak with one of our team members about the various retrieval options we offer.
DELIVERIES
Once the necessary file or box has been located in the archive system we can deliver to your company or another address given. We require written confirmation of the retrieval request and all deliveries require a signature on arrival.
STORAGE
Abacus Archives uses a storage system of racking with a capacity to hold up to 50,000 boxes. We have set the warehouse up to accommodate both large (A3) and small (A4) standard sized boxes and store no more than three high in one bay. Each box is labeled and easily traceable within our storage filing system using our Gelena AIDC tracking system. These are used to uniquely identify archive boxes on arrival, creating an immediate association to the relevant customer, the date received and location in the warehouse. We also have storage containers available for larger objects if required.
DESTRUCTION
We will retrieve and destroy files on your request, with written confirmation. A certificate will be issued once destroyed for your records. We have facilities on site for shredding but if you wish to destroy them via incineration this can be arranged.
BOXES
We provide high quality sturdy boxes at a competitive rate. The boxes are a standard size (see measurements below) to allow flexibility of content. They will fit A4 and A3 comfortably. For larger documents we can source specific sized boxes dependant on the nature of the storage requirements. Our boxes are made of recycled material.
